1. About GenixHR
GenixHR is an AI-powered recruitment and HR platform designed to help small and medium-sized businesses in Nigeria and across Africa manage their hiring process. GenixHR is operated by Tolani Aborisade, based in Bradford, United Kingdom.
By using GenixHR, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the platform.
2. Who Can Use GenixHR
You may use GenixHR if you:
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Are using the platform on behalf of a legitimate business
- Have the authority to agree to these terms on behalf of your organisation
- Provide accurate information when creating your account
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and login credentials
- You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorised access
- You must notify us immediately at hello@genixhr.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account
- GenixHR is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account
4. What GenixHR Provides
GenixHR gives you access to:
- AI-powered job description generation
- Candidate application collection and management
- AI-assisted candidate shortlisting and scoring
- Offer letter generation
- Interview scheduling with Google Calendar integration
- Document storage via your connected Google Drive
GenixHR uses Anthropic's Claude AI to power its content generation features. The quality of AI-generated content depends on the information you provide. Always review AI-generated documents before sending them to candidates or third parties.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use GenixHR only for lawful recruitment and HR purposes. You must not use GenixHR to:
- Post fake, misleading, or fraudulent job listings
- Discriminate against candidates based on gender, race, religion, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Collect candidate data for purposes other than recruitment
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the platform
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations, including NDPR and GDPR
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Your Data & Google Drive
When you connect your Google account:
- Your recruitment documents are stored in your own Google Drive — not on GenixHR's servers
- You remain the owner of all documents generated through the platform
- You can disconnect your Google account and delete your data at any time
- GenixHR accesses your Google Drive only to save and retrieve documents related to your recruitment activity
GenixHR's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Where you connect a WhatsApp number, GenixHR's use of that integration complies with Meta's Platform Terms and the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy. 7. Candidate Data Responsibilities
As a business owner using GenixHR, you are the data controller for any candidate data you collect. This means:
- You are responsible for how you use, store, and protect candidate personal data
- You must have a lawful basis for collecting candidate data
- You must not retain candidate data longer than necessary
- You must comply with applicable data protection laws (NDPR, GDPR, and any other applicable local laws)
GenixHR provides the tools — you are responsible for how you use them.
8. AI-Generated Content
GenixHR uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate job descriptions, shortlisting summaries, and offer letters. Please note:
- AI-generated content is a starting point — always review and edit before use
- GenixHR does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legal sufficiency of AI-generated documents
- You are responsible for ensuring all documents comply with local employment laws before sending them to candidates
9. Pricing & Payment
GenixHR is currently available free of charge during our early access period.
When paid plans are introduced:
- Pricing will be clearly displayed on the platform
- You will be notified in advance of any changes to pricing
- Payments will be processed securely through our chosen payment provider
- Refund terms will be stated clearly at the point of purchase
10. Availability & Downtime
We aim to keep GenixHR available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by:
- Scheduled maintenance
- Unexpected outages
- Issues with third-party services (Google, Anthropic, Vercel, Upstash)
11. Intellectual Property
- GenixHR's platform design, code, brand, and logo are the intellectual property of Tolani Aborisade / GenixHR
- You retain ownership of all content you create using the platform (job descriptions, offer letters, etc.)
- You grant GenixHR a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the service
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GenixHR shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss
- Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities
- Errors or omissions in AI-generated content
- Actions taken by candidates or third parties based on content generated through the platform
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to GenixHR in the 12 months prior to the claim.
13. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@genixhr.com.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Breach these Terms of Service
- Use the platform in a way that is harmful, illegal, or disruptive
- Fail to pay any applicable fees (once paid plans are introduced)
Upon termination, your access to the platform will end. Documents stored in your Google Drive will remain accessible to you directly.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via a notice on the platform. Continued use of GenixHR after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
